Is this a standard installation
environment? If not, this SLA still applies but additional labor charges will be added
to the flat rates. Examples of non-standard environments include:
Raised floor
Cable trays or conduits which are too full
Installation in modular furniture
Are there substantial barriers to commencement
and/or completion of the work, including but not limited to:
Substantial construction requirements
Asbestos removal
Modular furniture construction
Other significant obstacles or events
Are there closets that are close enough so the length of cable will be 90
meters or less?
Is the nearest distribution frame on a different floor? If so, is there
enough duct space?
Other Questions
What services will be using this cable? Will this cable handle them?
Has an order been submitted to attach whatever service(s) will be using
the station cable?
Do we have access to the building the installation is being requested in?
Is this a University building?
If this is a large order, when will ITCom staff be available to install?
How long will the customer be in this building?
Generally we encourage the use of category 5, plenum wire.
Is this for the Hospital? If so, there is a certain specification used for them.
Does the customer want other cables, such a video, pulled at the same time?
Is this our standard telephone? If not, it may require special wiring.
Is the customer purchasing the telephones or are we leasing phones to them?
