UM Network Working Group

The UM Network Working Group works to review network technology options and make recommendations for network technology adoption and standards to be used on the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus. The scope of the work includes devices and services that enable information flow across data networks. This includes but is not limited to wiring specifications, termination design, network architecture, backbone design, routing technologies, network security and operations, and other network infrastructure components.

The UMNWG (umnwg@umich.edu) is composed of U-M campus data network professionals who represent schools, colleges and major units. Units who would like to volunteer a representative for this group should send a message to UMNWG-interest@umich.edu.
