Emergency Numbers

There are many Emergency Telephones on the North, Central, Medical, and Athletic campuses that act as "hotlines" to the University's Office of Public Safety and Security. Lifting the handset on any Emergency Telephone immediately connects you to that office. These telephones are located in bronze, kiosk-type booths with a blue identification light on top.

The Emergency Telephones cannot be used for calls to locations other than Public Safety. Public Safety personnel can identify the exact location of the Emergency Telephone from which the call originated, so that if the caller is unable to talk, an officer can still be dispatched to the location.
